Suryoday Small Finance Bank: Q1 FY27 results, Q2 provisional update and other filings (Jul–Oct 2026)
My notes on Suryoday Small Finance Bank’s disclosures from the last three months.
Q1 FY27 (results, 23 Jul 2026): the bank’s press release shows PAT of ₹75.2 cr against ₹35.3 cr a year earlier, NII of ₹315.7 cr, gross advances of ₹14,376 cr (up 32.5% YoY) and deposits of ₹14,634 cr. GNPA was 6.5% and NNPA 1.2%.
Q2 FY27 provisional update (5 Oct 2026, as reported by news sites; I could not locate the filing itself): gross advances ₹14,972 cr and deposits ₹16,184 cr, each up about 35% YoY. Reported GNPA is 2.9%, after a write-off of ₹591 cr during the quarter.
Other filings: an independent director retired on completing his term and the company secretary’s resignation took effect (Aug); the board approved up to ₹400 cr of Lower Tier II bonds by private placement (21 Sep); RBI approved remuneration for the MD & CEO and a whole-time director (letter dated 14 Oct). The Q2 earnings call is scheduled for 30 Oct.
Question for members: how much of the GNPA fall came from write-offs versus recoveries or CGFMU claims, and how should we read that alongside credit costs?
