Pl. tell / guide me how a 11th std (CBSE)  student can be prepared for 2012 IIT enterance exams. I am belong to Chennai (Tamil Nadu). (without going to contact class. & thro' home studies)

U r actually younger than my daughter.So a little rebuke.

I did crack those JEE - IIT exam in dickens age. The things have changed so much since then that it will be foolish on my part to even try to advise u.In fact I guarantee u if I try it now I will simply come LAST. But some how, while I can withstand SMS and eMailish English, the silly mistakes bring nausea to me. Dont mind sunny; best of luck.

Only one request - pls remember 3 Idiots - cracking JEE -IIT is not the last thing in life.

I Remember those days whn I was preparin for JEE.....Long hectic days..College..Tutions and thn studies for nite and days!!!

Worse was those days v hav to prepare for subjective type questions also.

Ppls appearing for JEE now are very lucky (I actually hate tht)...tht they only have to prepare for objective type questions.

Sometimes it took hours to me to solve a question of Rotational Dynamics from Irodov's.Tho I still bet Mine Physics and Chemistry was best of the best..........those wonderful days.......competetion among frnds..figting for marks...all time talking about Engineeering..cracking JEE....and thn days at KGP..SF...Tech Fest.

I miss thm alott.

Anyways...........sharing my personal experience...

See a private tution or coaching is necessary...not becuz they will teach some thing extra..but they are very much require for you to be consisent. Relugar exams will chk you performance and keep you in touch with basics and fundas.

Regular practice is most important thing while preparing. Coaching will keep your focus only to your goal.

My dear Pradip Ray, I am really very sorry for hurting you with my bad english.  I typed my request in hurry & that is why a lot spelling mistake.

My request is to get friends' advise, guidance etc on preparing a 11std CBSE guy for 2012 IIT-Entrance test. I do not want the boy to go to regular classes for want of time, and so I prefer home study for entrance test.
