Cyclone Phyan bypassed Mumbai and the threat alert has been reduced. However, heavy rains will continue to lash the city.

Is Kakar at 07:46 PM - Nov 11, 2009 ( )
Yes Motwani ji, yeh news channel wale to kuch bhi kara de ... It's no more the normal news, it's masala news ... which should be seen, while sipping masala tea.
Now next they are planning to finish this whole world in 2012

Few month's back I met Vinod Dua and he said, bhai saab aaj kal jo bikta hai woh karna padta hai, too much focus on TRP's, and commercilization has made all these news channes go in masala mode.

P.S Keep on taking antacids if a person watches too much news, as too much masala can lead to gastric and ulcer problems

Raj Motwani at 07:26 PM - Nov 11, 2009 ( )

I think mumbaikars have a great spirit to fight. They will overcome this cyclone just as they have overcome even worse things.

Krothapalli Srinivas at 03:37 PM - Nov 11, 2009 ( )
Please leave it Govinda, We are concern about Cyclone but the topic has changed entirely

Govinda Krishna Velugoti at 03:37 PM - Nov 11, 2009 ( )
This is not the first time i have offered them my home to stay.Even during the terrorist attacks and even the riots of 1993 i have offered them my hospitality.

Govinda Krishna Velugoti at 03:35 PM - Nov 11, 2009 ( )
I have a army of friends in mumbai and i have all invited them here in case there is any problem to stay in my place. They are ashamed that such people who create problems between our own countrymen are given seats in the assembly and even allowed to contest elections.

Is Kakar at 02:08 PM - Nov 11, 2009 ( )
Ok, Azmi should not be talked about, but using language as means to protest is not good (by showing disrespect to Hindi language) if various communities keep on fighting like this, the country would be divided in pieces, the day is not far when some force from outside will again rule all of us like Britishers did it, there are other options to protest as well. Sorry members for going on to off market discussion during market hours, now I am closing this discussion further so that we can concentrate on markets.

The depression over southeast and adjoining central Arabian Sea moved northwestwards on Tuesday which is likely to develop further into a cyclonic storm and hit Gujarat. Squally winds speed reaching 55-65 kmph, gusting to 75 kmph, are likely to commence along and off south Gujarat and Kerala coasts besides Lakshadweep from tomorrow afternoon, while it will hit Kerala, Karnataka, Goa and Maharashtra coasts during the next 48 hours,

Actually in mumbai the geographical stucture is made such a way that there is a rare chances of cyclone hit directly to mumbai..... ( Those who can remember mumbai map " Queen's neckless " makes a huge pressure zone that prevents such cyclones).. But even 85-100 KM/h stroms can be enogh for damage looking at the conditions...............So pray for the safty of people
