Stocks in Europe moved higher Friday as investors digested further corporate earnings and news that Apple'svaluation had hit $1 trilllion. The pan-European Stoxx 600 was provisionally higher by 0.67%. The FTSE 100 is up 1.10% while Germany's DAX is up 0.55% and France's CAC 40 is up 0.33%.
U.S. stocks rose Friday, lifting the S&P 500 to its fifth consecutive weekly gain, after a string of upbeat earnings helped reassure investors that the market is on solid footing. The Dow Jones Industrial Average added 136.42 points, or 0.54%, to 25462.58. The S&P 500 was up 13.13 points, or 0.46%, to 2840.35 while the Nasdaq Composite edged up 9.33 points or 0.12%. to 25,462.58.
