With CARE downgrading RCOM debt to default and MOODYS too downgraded rcom debt, indian banks must now show their exposure to rcom as NPAs. 20000 cr is the amount that turn NPA hypothetically considering 11000 cr sale proceeds from its 51% stake sale in tower business as well as transferring 14000 cr debt to a new entity that merges with newly acquired aircel. i have written two months ago few times that telecom sector has a total NPA exposure of 2 to 3 lakh crore rupees but none of them get reported unless all telecom firms post losses and default on payments. yday Rcom sought time till september to honour its debt repayment commitments saying they dont have money after defaulting payment. bank wise exposure to rcom is not clear and once it is out in public domain, concerned banks shares may take a hit

if you are a investor better to avoid loss making companies . There are whole lot of companies traded where you can find excellent opportunities.... though you should be very careful when the market is at its peak . Pawan tayal idea is good but getting it profitably executed consistently is quite difficult as these companies have high option premium for a reason ....... they can rise or fall 20% in a day .... In either case you will be at a loss.

Dear Pawan Tayal....
( I agree your logic explanation for averaging by value and not qty... and you can wait for a decent DEAD CAT JUMP as you cant expect a CAT WALK AGAIN..... but these are once in a while oppurtunity done only when you had smartly captured the life time low... I have done this experiment with Moser baer, i bought at 3.9 and sold at 12... )
But in my present laughing stock RCOM, (the person saying the refree that he still can go lower, dont declare me a winner- my cartoon below)... what happen when further erosion happens without touching 59 as you had expected with massive quantity on hand... if the prices falls further...?
But will you escape from the STOCK on dumping all the quantity at a dead cat jump... will you keep on averaging at every fall....?
or is there any other way out for the person who averaged at a fall, or every fall?
YOUR EXPLANATION IS GREAT..
YOU MUST BE VERY RICH....
PLEASE ADVICE US SOME GOOD STOCKS.
