Windows 7 and Vista users need to disable UAC for only once when you do Autoconfig. After doing Autoconfig, you can reset UAC settings.
extract and copy the file nowrt2ab.xlam file from the downloaded zip file ---> go to start--->run---> paste this "%appdata%\Microsoft\AddIns" (without quotation marks) and hit enter--->paste nowrt2ab.xlam file in this directory "%appdata%\Microsoft\AddIns"
Open a New Excel File, go to file(office button, top left)--->excel options--->Addins--->Manage: Excel Addins--->Go--->check the box at the left of 'nowrt2ab' and click 'OK'--->you should now see the "Addins" menu in the menubar
go to Addins---> "AutoConfig NOWRT2AB" and follow the onscreen instructions.
use the respective tabs(points 3, 4 and 5 in Addins--->AutoConfig) to select the respective folders. The folder browsed by you will be shown on to the right of the respective point. you won't be able to edit the paths shown on the right. If by chance you chose a wrong folder, either click on "Reset" or simply click the respective button/tab to select that particular folder again.
Once you get the message "NOWRT2AB is configured successfully, close all excel and open the NOWRT2ABLIVE.xls file from the directory you had chosen in path/folder (point #4) in step # 4 above

System Requirements :

MS Office 2007 and above
Amibroker version 5.4** (earlier versions also supported)

**Best results with Amibroker version 5.4

System Date Configuration:

For windows7:
Control Panel-->regional settings-->"change date, time, or number format"-->Additional Settings-->Date-->Short Date:-->type "mm/dd/yyyy" -->OK to all windows and close.

NSE NOW Configuration:

Login in NOW software---> press ctrl+G to open marketwatch group setting window---> Create new group called "NOWRT2AB" and add to it whichever scrips you desire with a limit of 5 scrips.

make sure that the market-watch columns are strictly as per the sequence below.

Quote:

Left to Right--->
Column1---> Trading Symbol
Column2---> Last Traded Price
Column3---> Volume Traded Today
Column4---> Open Interest(even if you do not trade in F&O, it is mandatory to keep column4 as Open Interest)
Column5---> Last Traded Time
Column6---> Symbol('this column can't be removed from market-watch window, as per NOW settings, hence we have no option but to retain it)

NOTE: the very first scrip from the top decides the speed at which data is fetched and transferred to amibroker. So make sure that the first scrip from top is an active scrip like Nifty Future present month, or other equity scrips like SBIN, Reliance, LT, etc.
Once your market-watch with 5 scrips is ready, right click on market-watch and select "Link to Excel"---> "All Items"
open 'C:\NOWRT2ABLIVE.xls' select the very first cell(no other cell will work) in the NOWRTD sheet and right click and click paste(or press ctrl+v) and save the file. you will see the market-watch getting copied to excel file.

Note: the paths C:\NOWRT2AB_DB, "C:\NOWRT2ABLIVE.xls" are mentioned just as examples and will not hold true if you enter custom path while doing Autoconfig.

Amibroker Configuration:

If you chose to create new database, it will get created in the folder you had entered while doing "Autoconfig" If you had given "C:" the database will be created in "C:\NOWRT2AB_DB". yes you read it correct. database will be created but before using the tool, you need to run amibroker and open the above database(your path might be different):

Amibroker-->File-->Open Database-->Browse and select the Directory "C:\NOWRT2AB_DB" and click on "OK" --->
Amibroker-->File-->Database Settings--->
Data Source - local database
Local data storage - Enable
Base time interval - Tick
Click OK
Save all and close amibroker.

Operating Instructions:

To make sure no errors occur, your daily sequence of events should be as follows strictly:

login in NOW first.
open Amibroker and Open the database "C:\NOWRT2AB_DB" (only if you have not selected it to load at amibroker startup during Amibroker configuration above).
in 'C:\NOWRT2ABLIVE.xls'--->"Add-Ins"--->Fresh Session---> confirmation message.
in 'C:\NOWRT2ABLIVE.xls'--->"Add-Ins"--->Enable NOWRT2AB--->some ok clicks---> click OK to start streaming live data to Amibroker.
in 'C:\NOWRT2ABLIVE.xls'--->"Add-Ins"--->Disable NOWRT2AB--->to disable NOWRT2AB
press and hold "Escape" key for 5 to 10 seconds--->then click on "end" to completely stop NOWRT2AB.(you can even omit this step and close excel straightaway.)
Save Amibroker database and 'C:\NOWRT2ABLIVE.xls' before you close.
